Thanks Nezua for bringing the real sentiment of activists and specially dreamactivisst who feel cheated by the lukewarm (at best ) response to our plight.
We feel cheated by the Democrat Congresspersons who, in the majority of the cases, dread to support the DREAM Act and the undocumented students. Please do not let me start on the Republicans…..
Congresspersons are ready for the photo ops with the best and brightest undocumented students, yet they do not give their support when one is in trouble or need help.
There is also the greed of the CIR proponents of not let go of the dream act as a separate legislation (realizing how important the students are for any movement) even when the possibilities of a complete package is slim.
They rather condemn everybody to the lack of status than to accept- as the video states- the dream act as a down payment, an important first step into immigration reform.
Witnessing how the majority Democratic controlled Congress has handled the very needed health reform into a confusing hash there is little hope that they can balance the interests of all parties interested in a solution to the immigration catastrophe we have in the country.
One more thing, thanks for including Perna of dreamactivist. She is awesome!

Yikes, I didn’t realize Obama said all that stuff about ICE ripping kids from their parents’ arms, etc. cuz that’s still what they’re doing today with Obama’s blessing. Seeing the contrast between words and deeds right there in video makes the hypocrisy that much harder to handle–thanks for digging that up, Nez. And nice work, as always.
